I love your version of The blackest crow and i'm new to fiddling and all the versions ive tried just dont sound quite like yours and arent as smooth in progression, i cant read music but i know tablature is there any possible way you could write out, or submit a link for Fiddle Tablature of the song? Its a hard one to track down.
Hello Lane - I learned this song by ear, and I haven't ever come across music for it. If it is of any help, the fiddle tuning that I use in the video is standard tuning with each string tuned down 1.5 steps. The lowest string, normally a G, is tuned to an E.
Your blend of old and new sounds results in something special, and I'm glad I recently discovered your music! If you have time, can you write out the chord progression for "Ohio Turnpike"? And is the banjo in standard open G (gDGBD)? Lastly, if you ever want to make a tour out west, you might check out Freight & Salvage as a venue in the Bay Area!
Hi from Alaska! I played Sugarwine (long a favorite of mine) for some musical friends last night, and they were hooked! Now we'd like to try it ourselves, and were hoping to get chords.
Thanks and best wishes,
PS Super sad to be missing Beethoven and Banjos at Green Mountain Girls on the 23rd!
